It looks like Warner Bros. initial plans for a Man of Steel sequel are back on the table! Apparently, a person familiar with the project said that the film is back in development.
There isn’t really much else to go on for now but obviously, we will fill you in as more news on the project comes about.
Man of Steel had a mixed reaction from both critics and fans, but was actually the highest reviewed film from this current DC Cinematic Universe. Personally, I enjoyed the film and didn’t really see the need for all of the complaining. I thought that about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Cut) as well.
The project was rumored to have George Miller attached to direct at one point, so maybe that will still happen. I’m sure fans would be pretty excited about that idea after Mad Max: Fury Road. As some of you may remember, Miller was the director of the first Justice League film that ended up getting cancelled.
I think this could be great for DC. I always thought that they should include more solo films to further develop the characters. Obviously, that takes a tremendous amount of time, but time is something that Warner Bros. has lacked in the past.
