Chris Evans Has Heated Twitter Exchange With Former KKK Leader David Duke

Over the course of his long career, Captain America has fought White Supremacy several times but now it looks as though Chris Evans, the actor who portrays Cap is taking a leaf out of his onscreen counterparts book. Read on to find out more.

Evans recently took to Twitter (the entire exchange is at the bottom of the page) to voice his opinion on the recently elected Attorney General, Jeff Sessions.

In a tweet he explained:

If David Duke….DAVID!…DUKE!… thinks you’re right, then you are unequivocally wrong. The confirmation of @jeffsessions is beyond words.”

Unfortunately the message was noticed by Duke, the former head of the Ku Klux Klan, who responded with:

“Typical dumb actor – if everything I say is wrong, then when I say I oppose these Zionists wars, you must be for them, Captain America!?”

Just like the star-spangled hero he portrays, it appears Evans could do this all day as he fired back with:

DrDavidDuke well if these nuggets of bigotry are some of your OTHER thoughts, then I stand by my original tweet. We can’t let hatred be the loudest voice,” before then posting “We can’t let hatred be the loudest voice.”

You can check out the full exchange below.

It’s good to see that Evans is willing to stand up for his beliefs even if he knows he’ll at receiving end of some old racists abuse. It definitely makes you realize they picked the right actor for the role of Captain America.
