Two things about me: I'm British, I have a beard and I can't count...

Helllloooooo!  On a list of classic films that shouldn’t be remade, Mrs. Doubtfire should rank somewhere near the top just above classics such as Ghostbusters or The Princess Bride. Although, that hasn’t stopped companies from trying to remake them anyway.  But as is the case with anything that was remotely popular more than ten years ago, Mrs. Doubtfire is set for a remake, albeit a Broadway remake, but a remake none the less. Now to promote the upcoming show, Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Rob McClure, in the titular role, previously played to perfection by the late, great…

One of the biggest travesties to come out of the recent abandonment of the Marvel Netflix shows is that we will never get to see some of the actors share the screen. We will never see Vincent D’onofrio’s Kingpin squaring up against Tom Holland’s Spider-Man – or Charlie Cox’s Daredevil romancing Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. However, the most disappointing of all, is that we will never see Jon Bernthal’s Punisher taking on some of the big screen baddies. But – thanks to a recent interview by Adam G. Simon, writer of the upcoming remake of The Raid, it’s been revealed…

Earlier this week on social media, a heartbreaking video was being shared showing Quaden Bayles, a nine year old boy, crying and begging his mother to let him kill himself after being targeted by bullies at school due to his dwarfism. I was a mere twelve years old when I watched the The Fast and the Furious, and I’m pretty sure even then I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me that it would still be going nearly 20 years later. Yet here we are, less than a month into 2020 and we’re getting ready to welcome the ninth (Tenth with Hobbs and Shaw) entry into the newly dubbed ‘Fast Saga’ in Fast and Furious 9.  To coincide with the release of the official trailer for F9 this Friday, Universal Pictures are hosting a live Concert in Miami featuring members…

After spending a few years working with Victorian Detectives, Cold War Spies, Arthurian Kings and Arabian Nights, director Guy Ritchie is back to his roots with his latest cockney shootathon, The Gentlemen. But does it hold up to the standard that he had previously set with films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch. The answer, sadly, is no.  That’s not to say The Gentlemen is a bad film per se, in fact the film is very entertaining. The main problem is that it just doesn’t have the same energy that his earlier works had. It forever…

We’ve all seen those adverts on late night television, you know, the ones that promise you 0% body fat and six-pack abs. Yeah, those ones. Turns out there’s a much better way to get a body like a Superhero – get a job as a Superhero. That’s right, following in the footsteps of Chris Pratt and Paul Rudd is fellow funnyman, Kumail Nanjiani, who is the latest star to get absolutely shredded for his MCU role in Eternals.  In preparation for his role of Kingo in the Marvel movie, Nanjiani undertook an impressive exercise regime that has completely changed the…

Good morning readers! Elizabeth Banks’ Charlie’s Angels has had a bit of a rough time as of late. For one it hasn’t exactly set the Box Office on fire, and secondly it’s currently sitting on a lower Rotten Tomatoes than the 2000 entry directed by McG and that wasn’t exactly doing much in the way of female empowerment. But that’s not to say that the 2019 is a bad movie per-se, it’s just simply uninspired. The film itself does try to break the mould a little bit in regards to the franchise. Where the original series and the movies from…

Earlier this week, the long awaited Disney streaming platform, Disney Plus, was released to the public – well, some of them, some of us have to wait to March to get our House of Mouse fix. While there have been a few snags along the way, overall the reception has been mostly positive. One of the biggest selling points (other than The Mandalorian of course) has to be the entire back catalogue of The Simpsons episodes that are available – thanks to the recent acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney. However, fans have noticed that there is a notable…

As I sat in the cinema on Monday evening, unaware of what I was about to watch, I was slightly nervous about what was about to begin. Then the title came on the screen announcing we would be watching Le Man ‘66 (Ford v Ferrari to rest of you!) which was met with a resounding ‘oooh’ from the crowd. Now, I have to admit that whilst I had seen the trailers and been impressed with the film’s cast – it had never quite intrigued me all that much. However, after now seeing the film, I can safely say I would…
