‘F9’ Trailer Teases Taking The ‘Fast & Furious’ Franchise To Space

The Fast & Furious franchise is expanding yet again, this time in F9, otherwise known as Fast & Furious 9. The upcoming blockbuster will revisit Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto and pave the way for an all-new trilogy. As you can see in the newly released F9 trailer down below, the new Fast & Furious flick certainly looks like a crazy addition to the massive franchise. Especially when you consider the fact they actually introduce a space car sequence – a completely new ballpark for the series which has already captured some crazy set pieces in the past.

As you can see, the new F9 trailer is full of footage that reveals some massive revelations for the series. It appears that a variety of characters, both living and dead, will be involved with this new storyline. When you consider the new technological additions and higher stakes, it really is an epic way to push the franchise forward. And with the film’s release date so close, this trailer definitely helps make the short wait a little easier.

In the new film…

“Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob.”

Justin Lin directed F9, aka Fast & Furious 9. He wrote the script alongside Daniel Casey based on a story they wrote with Alfredo Botello. It was produced by Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Justin Lin, Clayton Townsend and Samantha Vincent.

The cast includes Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Cardi B as Leysa, with a cameo by Ozuna.

Fans will finally be able to see the highly anticipated Fast & Furious sequel, F9, in theaters on June 25, 2021.
