‘Justice For Johnny Depp’ Trends After New Evidence Released About Amber Heard

The legal battles between actor Johnny Depp and his ex-wife actress Amber Heard have been fascinating to follow. They first started in 2018 after Amber Heard said that Johnny Depp had domestically abused her during their marriage. Eventually, she shared these sentiments with The Sun. After this, Johnny Depp decided to sue both Amber Heard and The Sun over defamation. He insisted that his wife was lying and that he was actually the one being domestically abused. While Depp fought hard for his side of the story, the UK court still ruled in favor of The Sun and even denied Depp his right to appeal. With that being said, many of Depp’s fans still have faith in the actor. And, as a result, #JusticeForJohnnyDepp was recently trending and for a very specific reason.

As it turns out, #JusticeForJohnnyDepp was trending because Johnny Depp decided to release evidence against Amber Heard. This evidence, in the form of never-before-seen bodycam footage worn by the LAPD, seems to negate some of Amber Heard’s claims. The footage was taken the night Depp and Heard allegedly had a massive fight. However, as shown in the footage, the two had a perfectly clean home with no apparent damage whatsoever. As shown:

Thus, it’s easy to understand why #JusticeForJohnnyDepp was suddenly trending on social media. The following statement was given by Johnny Depp’s attorney Adam Waldman via DailyMail:

“Amber Heard and her friends described a chaotic, messy crime scene but the newly released LAPD bodycam videos unambiguously show that the penthouse was utterly undamaged and that their testimony was one more grandiose lie,” Waldman said.

It seems that the fight started after Johnny Depp hit Amber Heard in the face with a phone. According to Heard’s best friend Rocky Pennington, Depp broke a wine bottle that shattered and left glass and wine all over their apartment. Specifically, Depp was:

“…hitting everything with the wine bottle, just smashing it all off. So there was fruit on the floor and baskets and, you know, glass bottles and flowers.”

Amber Heard herself added to this:

“He broke a lot of glass things that left glass on the floor… when he walked out into the hallway, you could see wine spilled all over the ground and wine on the walls and… and so I knew that at least he had gone through there and was like sloshing wine anywhere.”

Eventually officers Tyler Hadden and Melissa Saenz, who was a domestic violence specialist, arrived at the apartment. They made it just 15 minutes after the fight allegedly took place. However, neither noticed any injuries on Amber Heard’s face or any destruction in the apartment. As stated:

“I did not identify her as a victim of domestic violence,” Saenz told Heard’s attorney Elaine Bredehoft in her deposition. “We met with the victim, we checked the location, the husband wasn’t there, and that the victim advised us she wasn’t going to give us further information.”

Next, two more officers arrived at the scene about two hours later. These were the two individuals wearing bodycams. While they entered to “make sure everybody’s okay,” they noticed that there wasn’t anything wrong with the apartment. All of this can be seen in the bodycam footage – everything is clean. As pointed out by Johnny Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman:

“You can see clearly in the police bodycam videos that all the items Ms. Heard and her friends claimed Mr. Depp smashed to smithereens with a wine bottle off the island in his penthouse kitchen – glass, fruit, baskets, vases and candelabras – are in perfect condition and tidily in their place. Nor does the red wine they claimed that Mr. Depp splashed all over the light-colored hallway carpets and walls exist.”

While it’s unclear if this will have any impact on the UK ruling against him, Johnny Depp still has another lawsuit with Amber Heard being prepared here in the US. This legal battle will occur in Fairfax County, Virginia, in April 2022. In the meantime, with #JusticeForJohnnyDepp trending, it will be interesting to see where things continue to go.
