Robert Downey Jr. Told Mark Ruffalo That He’s In Captain America: Civil War

    By Frank PalmerJune 17, 2015

When Mark Ruffalo sat down with HitFix recently, he said that Robert Downey Jr. basically told him he was in Captain America: Civil War. Here’s exactly what Ruffalo had to say, and it’s definitely a pretty interesting quote:

“At this point, I’m told that I’m in it by Robert, which I’ll take as biblical, but I just haven’t heard or seen from production yet,” Ruffalo said. “If Robert Downey, Jr. says I’m in ‘Captain America,’ I’m in ‘Captain America’ dammit. And I will wait for the day that my call sheet shows up at my doorstep or my script.”

Captain America: Civil War synopsis: Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.

It’ll be interesting to see just what Marvel characters actually appear in the upcoming Civil War movie, as Marvel seems to change their plans quite a bit. I’m especially interested in seeing which characters side with each other in the movie. It’s a big film for a number of different reasons.
