According to FOX Network co-chairman Dana Walden, the network is actively pursing a TV series based on Marvel’s X-Men.

“We’re in negotiations with Marvel,” Walden revealed. “We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to announce something soon. It’s something we’re definitely pursuing.”

Walden also mentioned that any potential X-Men TV show could only include characters from Fox’s X-Men movie universe – due to contracts with Marvel and Marvel Studios.

“The characters from the X-Men franchise are with Fox on the feature [films] side, so we won’t be including Marvel characters that are at ABC with Disney.”
