    Adi Shankar’s Top 5 Favorite Sci-Fi Films

    By Frank PalmerAugust 26, 2015

Adi Shankar’s producing filmography is undeniably interesting. With titles ranging from Dredd to The Grey and even short films based on The Punisher, Venom and a “darker” Power Rangers (which you can find at the bottom of the page if you haven’t seen them yet) he gives us a look at things that other producers are too scared to take chances with. While he’s already established himself as one of the top young producers in Hollywood, he’s also directing Gods and Secrets.

We thought we’d find out what his 5 of his favorite films were and why. What we got was straight to the point – but with a body of work like his, who are we to argue with this list?

    5. Road Warrior (1981)

It was an anti-hero film before anti-heroes were cool.

    4. Logan’s Run (1976)

    Feels a little too real.

    3. Robocop (1987)

Hold this up against any comic book movie today and it becomes evident that there has been a pussification of society.

    2. Escape From New York (1981)

    Iconic and influential.

    1. The Warriors (1979)

    World building 101.

So there you have it folks. Those are Adi Shankar’s top 5 favorite sci-fi films. As promised, here are the links to some of his short films from his BOOTLEG UNIVERSE, and be sure to tell us what you thought of his list at the bottom of the page!
