Disney Considered Avengers: Age of Ultron A Failure

Avengers: Age of Ultron made $1.4 billion at the worldwide box office and currently sits at #6 on the list of highest earning movies of all time – but apparently, that wasn’t enough.

According to Bleeding Cool, $1.4 billion wasn’t enough money and a 74% rating on RottenTomatoes wasn’t enough praise.

As you all may know, over the last few days there has been talk about the clash between Marvel CEO Isaac Perlmutter and Kevin Feige and the dissolution of the creative committee. Apparently, these tensions have been building for a while now and when Age of Ultron “underwhelmed” at the box office, Feige was able to gain more control.

A lot of people think that giving Feige more control is a great move – but we’ll have to see.

If Civil War doesn’t make $5 billion – will it be deemed a failure? I guess we’ll have to wait and see on that one as well.
