The Supergirl TV show has been getting a lot of hassle from fans. Mostly, this is due to the first trailer looking like the Black Widow SNL sketch. Now, fans have more to moan about with the first look at actor Iddo Goldberg as Red Tornado. Red Tornado is an android with the ability to create tornados created by Dr. T.O. Morrow (ha! I see what you did DC, very clever). Goldberg will also be portraying Morrow. The main complain seems to be that he just looks like a Vision wannabe and yeah it’s hard not to think that he looks like Vision cosplay. His suit reminds me of Turboman from “Jingle all the Way” so really not the best impression.
However – let’s not forget that the world of comics is filled with copycat characters and both these characters have a similar origin in that they are artificial humans – so comparisons between the two are expected. As for looking cheap, well yes – it’s a TV budget but he doesn’t look terrible we’ve seen worse I mean it’s not as bad as Shaq in “Steel”. So, why don’t we wait to see how the actor performs as the character before we start making comparisons.
