Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be getting an “Ultimate Edition” blu-ray release – with an R-rating according to the Classifications and Ratings Administration.
The R-rated cut is definitely unexpected but certainly not surprising given the recent success of Deadpool (which I realize wasn’t only successful because of its rating – but you know how studios get). One can only hope that Suicide Squad will also have an R-rated cut as well.
