The sequel to Guillermo Del Toro’s monster fighting epic, Pacific Rim may finally be making headway as a director has been found in the form of Daredevil’s ex show runner Steven S. DeKnight.
The Hellboy director made the announcement of DeKnight’s involvement on his official Twitter. The director is expected to stay on as producer to the sequel which currently have a release date.
As it stands not much is known about the upcoming film, with reports previously indicating it could in fact be a prequel set within the early days of the Kaiju war which given how the first film ended would make sense. Hopefully we’ll start finding out more information over the coming months.
