While the general consensus is that The Dark Knight trilogy is a masterpiece – one person apparently doesn’t feel that way about his performance in the films.
Christian Bale.
While promoting his latest film, Knight of Cups, he expressed disappointment in his portrayal of Batman:
“I didn’t quite manage what I hoped I would throughout the trilogy,” Bale told Yahoo Movies (watch above). “Chris did, but my own sense of self is like, ‘I didn’t quite nail it.”
He also offered some input on Heath Ledger’s performance:
“Heath turned up, and just kind of completely ruined all my plans,” Bale said. ‘Because I went, ‘He’s so much more interesting than me and what I’m doing.”
