It sounds like Task Force X will be living to fight another day, well at least one of them anyway….
The Wrap recently posted a story about David Ayer’s upcoming film Bright, a police drama set in a magical world, written by Max Landis and starring Deadshot actor, Will Smith. It was in this article that they revealed that Ayer and Smith were Intending to work on Bright before production begins for the Suicide Squad sequel in 2017.
While this could all be dependant on the success of Suicide Squad when it’s released this August, it is good to see that Warner Brothers does have faith in the project. It’s also interesting to see where they place it in their lineup, given that the majority of films have already been announced between now and 2020. We’ll likely find out more when the film is released August 5th.
