Thanks to a new domain registered by Sony, we may just have found out the title of Spider-Mans introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it’s quite interesting for fans of the comics.
The BBC has discovered that Sony Pictures registered the URLĀ SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com at the end of last week, believing that Spider-Man: Homecoming will be the title for the solo film for Tom Holland’s wallcrawler. A search for the site will lead you to Sony’s homepage and while we should probably wait until an official announcement, it should be noted that this was the same way that fans discovered the title to Skyfall back in 2011.
What’s interesting is that the title is the same as an eighties arc which saw Spidey team up with both Iron Man and Captain America. Both Downey Jr and Chris Evans have previously hinted about filming together again in Georgia, the location of filming for the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. Could we be seeing a couple of Avengers cameos?
We can see Tom Holland’s debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War on May 6th before the character appears in his own film July 7th 2017.
What do you think? Do you like the title? What would you have gone with? Let us know below!
