With a lot of division of the Civil War breaking forth in the newest Captain America film, we can’t help but wonder what Stan Lee, legend and father of many of Marvel’s children, would call favorites on.
Fortunately for us, Stan the Man was approached at the red carpet at the Captain America: Civil War premiere. Marvel asked the prize-winning question: Team Cap or Team Iron Man?
Lee decided to make a show of this with a coin flip, remarking:
“Captain America. No doubt about it!”
Giving his opinion as “good a reason as any”, Lee replied with a laugh:
“Because Chris Evans is about half an inch taller than Robert Downey Jr.”
With all jokes aside, Lee then disclosed the matter with his honest thoughts:
“I don’t care, I love them both, they’re both going to look real good on screen, and the audience is going to have a tough time deciding. I love them both.”
