With the highly-anticipated Captain America: Civil War releasing this Friday, despite the growing presence of the them in previous films, fans may be surprised that the iconic Infinity Stones will not be relevant in the film’s arc.
Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus were approached by Ashley Robinson of ComicBook.com to shed some more light for the fast-approaching Civil War film, with talks ranging from Captain America’s motives to the vast number of characters used. When asked about the topic of the Infinity Stones making any significance to Civil War, the duo answered respectively:
McFeely: “I think it’s okay to say it’s a stone free movie.”
Markus: “It is a stone free movie, which I think is a Jimi Hendrix reference.”
“Stone-free”. Hmm…
The war begins this Friday.
