Simon Kinberg Confirms The Next X-MEN Movie Will Be Set In The 90’s

It appears that the pattern to take the X-Men through random periods of time (X-Men: First Class and Days of Future Past) will be continuing. In a recent comment made to ComingSoon.net, producer Simon Kinberg had this to say:

“The next one is set in the ’90s.”

While it’s not entirely clear what the producer even meant, this is definitely an interesting comment. He could be referencing the next X-Men movie or the New Mutants spin-off movie. I guess only time will tell.
