Cinepop has recently interviewed Megan Fox, an actress known for her roles in the rebooted Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchises. She was especially vocal about new roles she would like to take on. When she was asked if she could play any superhero of her choosing, the actress had this to say about Mortal Kombat’s Kitana:
“I’ve been getting this question a lot and I should think it about it more because I keep drawing a blank. I don’t have a specific superhero that I think I should play. I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you I don’t know.”
Although she did have a specific supervillain in mind.
“I thought of Kitana from Mortal Kombat if they ever make that movie again. I’ve always loved her fans and the blades, um, but that’s the only one I could think of.”
Which may just happen, as there is currently a new reboot in the works simply titled “Mortal Kombat”. It’s said to be helmed by James Wan (Fast and Furious 7, The Conjuring) with a script by David Callaham (The Expendables) and Oren Uziel (who’s written the short film Mortal Kombat: Rebirth and an episode for the series Mortal Kombat: Legacy).
