The original Ghostbusters theme by Ray Parker Jr was almost as iconic as the film itself meaning that this summers reboot had yet another classic to live up to. Well now with the release of the official track we’ll finally know if we have another timeless hit on our hands. Spoiler Alert: No.
The track, titled Ghostbuster (I’m not afraid) comes from Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliot and rather than being an original song, it is actually a remix of Ray Parker Jr’s far superior track. Words can’t really describe the track……well they can, but not the types of words I can use on here. So just hit the player below and check it out for yourselves:
While this isn’t any indication of how the Paul Feig film will fair, it certainly isn’t going to win over any of the naysayers. You have to wonder if Sony are just screwing with the fans now. You can check out the film it was made for when Ghostbusters hits theaters July 22nd.
