TMNT 2 Concept Art Shows Alternate Versions Of The Characters

    By Allen D. LyonsJuly 6, 2016

Recently, we got our hands on some Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Age of Ultron concept art. It’s interesting to see how the movies could have looked.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows may not have been the best Turtles movie, but it did look good. Beebop and Rocksteady looked and acted exactly like they should. And Krang wasn’t too bad either. It was crazy hearing Brad Garrett’s (Everybody Loves Raymond, ‘Til Death) voice.

Check out how Krang, Shredder, Casey Jones, Splinter, and the Turtle Van could have looked via artists Daniel Edery and Jared Krichevsky:

Check out this Casey Jones piece. I like how he has long hair. Almost every depiction of the vigilante I know has long hair. The original Mirage Studios Comics version, and the ’90’ cartoon, though, had a slightly shorter, more mullet-like cut.

Also, I like the tattoo. It shows Casey’s passion in sports. Since he lives and breathes New York, the Yankees is an obvious choice.

But I don’t like the mask. I like what we ended up getting, even though he only used it once. It’s the bars– they look more like a football face mask than his signature hockey mask.

Here’s reference from 2003’s Fox Box cartoon. As my favorite cartoon of the franchise, this to me is the definite Casey. Elias Koteas was cool. Josh Peck’s portrayal in the new Nickelodeon cartoon is even closer than Amell’s.

And here’s reference to the final product. When news broke that Arrow‘s Stephen Amell would play him, I was stoked. Though, not so much when I watched the flick.
