Warner Bros. and DC have released a new video focusing on the creation and the inspiration behind the new Batsuit in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Here’s what costume designer Michael Wilkinson had to say about his approach when creating the suit:
“Zack really wanted the costume to look like it had been around for a long time. From head to toe there’s wear and tear, there’s scratches, there’s bulletholes… There’s all sorts of signs that he’s been out there on the streets for a long time.”
Geoff Johns added:
“The greatest thing about the new costume is that we got the grey back,” said Johns. “We’ve been armored and black and it’s cool, they’ve done it, and now the fact that we get to go back to this grey look with the big black bat…”
