The first official Justice League photo has been released, offering a full look at Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg united for the first time.

The first official photo from DC’s Justice League has been released, giving fans an early glimpse at what’s to come from the highly anticipated team-up film. The image showcases several of the core members suited up and ready for action — including Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa).

Though Superman (Henry Cavill) is noticeably absent from the photo, fans already know his return is a major piece of the film’s plot, following the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The new image sets the tone for the next chapter in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), promising a more unified, visually striking team dynamic compared to the darker, more divided tone of the franchise’s previous entries.

The photo debuted as part of the film’s early promotional rollout in 2016, as Warner Bros. sought to generate momentum and shift public perception following the mixed reception of Batman v Superman. With Zack Snyder still at the helm during this phase of production, the image hints at the more mythic and larger-than-life approach he envisioned for the DCEU.

Each hero stands poised in their respective armor, with the photo emphasizing not only their individuality but also the contrast between styles — from the Atlantean grit of Aquaman’s armor to the high-tech cybernetics of Cyborg and the slick, kinetic energy radiating from The Flash’s suit.

While plot details were still scarce at the time, this first-look photo reinforced that Justice League was officially in motion — aiming to bring together DC’s most iconic characters on-screen for the first time in a live-action feature film.

As Warner Bros. prepared for its Comic-Con presence that year, the release of this image was just the beginning of the studio’s promotional campaign. It signaled a renewed focus on team synergy, brighter aesthetics, and a hopeful narrative arc — all elements that would become central talking points leading up to the film’s eventual release.
