Warner Bros. and The CW have unveiled an action-packed new trailer for The Flash Season 3 at San Diego Comic-Con, and it’s filled with teases that are sure to get longtime fans buzzing. The footage offers a closer look at what’s to come following the events of the “Flashpoint” storyline — including the official debut of Wally West as Kid Flash.
The trailer wastes no time diving into the chaos Barry Allen has created by altering the timeline to save his mother. This decision, as teased last season, sets off a butterfly effect that begins to reshape Central City in unpredictable ways. In this new reality, some characters don’t recognize Barry, others have completely different lives, and the line between friend and foe is blurrier than ever.
One of the biggest reveals comes in the form of Wally West, suited up as Kid Flash for the first time in live-action. Played by Keiynan Lonsdale, Wally now joins Barry in the field — though how their dynamic unfolds in this alternate timeline remains to be seen. The trailer shows him in full costume, sprinting into action alongside or possibly even in place of Barry, depending on how much Flashpoint changes the pecking order.
Also teased in the footage are returning fan favorites like Cisco Ramon, Iris West, and Joe West, though with slightly altered personalities or roles. And, of course, there are hints at new threats on the horizon — including an ominous presence who appears to know far more about the fractured timeline than anyone else.
The showrunners have previously confirmed that Flashpoint will influence not just The Flash, but potentially the broader Arrowverse as well — meaning other series like Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow could feel the ripple effects of Barry’s actions.
Season 3 promises to push the boundaries of the show’s emotional core while also delivering the high-stakes, high-speed action fans have come to expect. Between new speedsters, fractured relationships, and altered memories, The Flash looks ready to reinvent itself once again.
With SDCC now in full swing, more details about the upcoming season are expected to emerge throughout the weekend. But for now, the new trailer sets the tone: this is not the Central City we remember.
