Shia LaBeouf Protests Trump’s Presidency With 4-Year Live Stream

    By Jacob DresslerJanuary 20, 2017

While Donald J. Trump began his inauguration of becoming president, actor Shia LaBeouf began a protest to the event.

The protest started Friday at 9 a.m. ET, when LaBeouf setup a camera at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. People who pass by are encouraged to stop at the camera and say “He will not divide us.”

The camera is designed to stay on 24/7 and will remain active throughout the entire duration of President Trump’s term.

“Commencing at 9am on January 20, 2017, the day of the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, the public is invited to deliver the words ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ into a camera mounted on a wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, repeating the phrase as many times, and for as long as they wish,” according to the project’s official site, created by Shia LaBeouf, Nastja Säde Rönkkö, and Luke Turner.

“In this way, the mantra ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.”
