This is an EXCLUSIVE from The Wrap. Director David F. Sandberg is in talks for New Line to direct DCEU’s Shazam! movie.
His break out film was the horror flick Lights Out and will be working on the Annabelle 2 sequel which is slated for Aug. 11 of this year, also by New Line.

Earlier it was announced that both Black Adam and Shazam! flicks will be two separate projects the latter of which stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. There is no news regarding a Shazam! casting.
Fans have been wondering how Black Adam would be incorporated into the DCEU, but now it looks like things are unfolding. New Line is also involved with the development of Black Adam.
For those unfamiliar with the Shazam character, like most heroes, he has an alter ego. The name is Billy Batson and conjures up his super powers by yelling out “Shazam!”
How do you think Shazam! will translate into the DCEU and to what extent will his involvement, should it happen, be in the Justice League? After all, he had made appearances in the comic book version of JL.
