Entertainment Weekly debuted 9 photos of the Thor: Ragnarok ensemble of characters from the third Asgardian installment. Jeff Goldblum is all costumed up as Grandmaster and he does exude the similarities not unlike the version in Marvel Comics.
The publication’s version shows him with blue skin, whereas Goldblum’s character has the same color theme in a different fashion, minus the skin pigmentation.
Chris Hemsworth has his hair all trimmed up, but this wasn’t the first time we had seen him like this on the set of Thor: Ragnarok. He was teased by Mark Ruffalo on set with the same hairstyle last year.
Hela will be played by Lord of the Rings and Hobbit’s Cate Blanchett. She’s both stunning and evil with her new look. She also seems to bare a resemblance to Eva Green from 300: Rise of an Empire. Fans were even gunning for the Sin City vixen as well, but it looks like Marvel Studios was able to pull it off with Cate.
Hemsworth looks like he’s taking on an authentic warrior Vikings look that seems to be representative of the History channel’s hit series. He’s also wearing warpaint and wielding different weapons, so it’ll be interesting in what he’s using those weapons for.
Creed’s Tessa Thompson also appeared in some photos, along with director Taika Waititi,Thor, and drinking companions. She will be portraying Valkyrie. Last year, photos were taken of her on set in her costume from a distance.
Then there is, of course, the Asgardian god we all love to hate, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.
Thor: Ragnarok is currently in pre-production with a release date scheduled for Nov. 3, 2017.
