DC Just Killed Off A Major Character

    By Jacob DresslerApril 21, 2017

Ever since the events of Rebirth, the DC Universe has been out of control. Wally West reveals that someone, potentially Dr. Manhattan, has taken 10 years from the world. This has resulted in plenty of Flashpoint era characters making a return. And that includes Eobard Thawne/Zoom/Reverse-Flash. Shockingly enough, however, the villain has already been disposed of.

Reverse-Flash showed up in Batman #21, prepared to kill Batman while infiltrating the Batcave. His goal was to get revenge on Bruce Wayne’s father Thomas who killed Zoom in the Flashpoint timeline, as Thomas was also Batman in that universe.

He succeeds in brutally attacking Batman, which forces the Dark Knight unconscious. Reverse-Flash then examines The Comedian’s badge and horrifically disappears in a flash of blue light. He then returns, partially-vaporized, where he talks about having seen God. And then he soon slumps to the ground, dead. It’s all suggested to have been the work of Dr. Manhattan.

The issue ends with Flash and Batman making sure to investigate Reverse-Flash’s murder.
