Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave Dead At Age 52

    By Frank PalmerMay 18, 2017

For any of you who grew up in the 90’s and listened to rock music, I shouldn’t have to tell you who Chris Cornell was.

The singer for Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog was one of the most iconic voices of the 90’s, and even the early 2000’s, when he fronted the super-group known as Audioslave which featured the former members of Rage Against The Machine.

The death was unexpected, as his representative had the following to say:

“His wife Vicky and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing, and they will be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause,” the statement read. “They would like to thank his fans for their continuous love and loyalty and ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”

Sudden and unexpected seems to be the term used a lot lately – as we continue to lose legends in both the film and music industry.

Here’s how other celebrities are reacting to the tragedy:

    RIP Chris Cornell

Here’s hoping we don’t lose anymore legends too soon – or in general in 2017.
