DEADPOOL Responds To Wonder Woman Beating His Film’s Box Office

    By Frank PalmerJuly 11, 2017

Wonder Woman was released this past month and it’s safe to say that almost everyone enjoyed the film. If you didn’t, that’s on you.

The DCEU film recently surpassed Deadpool’s Box Office total, and The Merc With A Mouth had a special message for her:

The Merc may be filthier, but her B.O. is stronger. Congrats #WonderWoman. pic.twitter.com/jhP1hRAKlY

To which Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins had the following to say:

You are the absolute greatest, Ryan Reynolds @VancityReynolds Thank you! We love you and your movie too. ❤️❤️❤️ #deadpool #deadpool2 ❤️❤️❤️ https://t.co/6Raj3VBEIR

Jessica Jones even got in on the action:

You still look like a pervy mannequin to me.

Wonder Woman officially beat Deadpool’s $363.1 million total yesterday and currently sits at $368.5 million.

It’s nice to see Marvel and DC getting along, though, not everyone was a fan of the film. Former Batgirl actress Alicia Silverstone doesn’t understand the hype:

“Before Wonder Woman…Wonder Woman? Before Wonder Woman there have been many movies with female leads, so I get a little confused, We have made strides, of course. I think about, what about all those wonderful comedians who are females who have had massive hits? There’s Bridesmaids. I don’t know. I just feel like, over the years, there was Mean Girls, there was Clueless, over time we have had so many movies that have been female-driven.”

    She added:

“It has to be Wonder Woman. It has to have tons of flash, right? Like when you’re looking at children’s films now, as a mom, I don’t want my kid to see all that. Loud effects, all the stuff that’s like stimulate, stimulate! But that’s what audiences want, so it’s a tricky thing. Sometimes it’s just the quieter more interesting things sometimes get seen because they touch someone enough.”

No word on if Silverstone will be starring as Batgirl in the upcoming solo film for the character.

We’d wager to say – she won’t be.
