Deadpool 2 hits theaters this week, and with it, we’re being treated to quite a few new TV spots. The latest, in typical Deadpool fashion, manages to throw some shade at Avengers: Infinity War. It’s not the biggest of jabs or anything like that, and it even pokes fun at itself and how Deadpool 2 is ramping up its marketing now.
“See, when you make a sequel you have to double-down on your promotions, or you just get buried by Infinity War.”
He’s not wrong, as Infinity War is on a box office tear at the moment. Here’s hoping Deadpool 2 lives up to the hype when it hits theaters this Friday.
The film’s synopsis:
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
I mean, I believe the synopsis alone is enough to warrant most people to go see the film.
