Disney Plus has come in quite handy for both Disney and Marvel, especially when it comes to expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The streaming platform has allowed for a number of Marvel shows to find distribution. Of course, fans might be curious, which Marvel show happens to be the most watched? As it turns out, we now know the answer. A recent analysis has confirmed that Loki is currently the most watched series on Disney Plus.

In fact, as revealed via THR, Loki was almost the first Marvel series to beat The Mandalorian in total viewing time. However, Loki only managed to acquire second place.

    As they noted:

“The six-episode season drew 5.23 billion minutes of watch time and was the first (and only, thus far) Marvel series to exceed 1 billion minutes in a single week. By virtue of its smaller episode order, Loki had the highest average watch time of any Marvel or Star Wars series, with slightly less than 872 million minutes per episode in its six weeks.”

This is definitely an interesting result, with the series WandaVision having come in second place behind Loki for most watched Marvel shows. WandaVision managed to acquire 4.8 billion minutes watched. Meanwhile, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier came in second place for minutes watched per episode.

With Disney Plus being the home for both a wide variety of Star Wars projects and Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, it’s quite surprising to see these numbers. While Marvel is still at the top of the box office, with a number of theatrical films being released each year, Star Wars has been stumbling in that department. But with the release of The Mandalorian, it seems they have at least one major card up their sleeve. Of course, with a wide variety of shows still in development for both projects, that could change in the near future. We’ll just have to wait and see.
