spider-man: no way home extended cut

Fans will remember how exciting the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home was late last year. The movie brought together three different Spider-Man continuities into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, forging an unforgettable experience for millions of fans. Now the MCU movie will be returning to theaters once more – this time with an all-new extended cut.

This cut, titled Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version, will add over 15 minutes of footage to the 148 minute runtime. For fans that just can’t get enough Spider-Man, this certainly seems like the perfect event. Especially because the extra scenes stem from never-before-seen footage.

As revealed in the announcement below from the official @SpiderManMovie Twitter account:

“You wanted more Spidey and you got it! #SpiderManNoWayHome: The More Fun Stuff Version swings into movie theaters in the US and Canada September 2! More countries to be announced soon!”

As explained via insider Amit Chaudhari, it appears that the deleted scenes are being used to push the film’s overall gross above $2 billion. He listed the following deleted scenes as the ones that will be added to the Spider-Man: No Way Home extended cut:

    • Interrogation Scene Extended – 2:25
    • Peter Day at Midtown High – 5:25
    • Undercroft Montage – 1:35
    • Happy’s Very Good Lawyer – 1:35
    • The Spideys Hang Out – 4:25

Fans have been waiting quite some time to see these scenes. As such, getting to see them on the big screen cut back into the film will be the perfect opportunity to do so. It should be a great way to revisit the film yet again, especially now that the original theatrical cut of Spider-Man: No Way Home has since been available on home video and digital streaming platforms.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version on August 9, 2022. The film will be playing in movie theaters in the United States and Canada on September 2.
