The movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania featured some pretty important Marvel villains. Most notably, of course, was the inclusion of Kang the Conqueror. Though the film also introduced one of the weirdest villains from the comics to the MCU – and now the actor for this Marvel villain is ready to return.
This was shared by actor Corey Stoll who spoke with ScreenRant about his possible comeback. For those unaware, he played the character MODOK in the film. It was certainly an interesting sight to see the giant-headed character appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after all these years. Naturally, fans of the character would love to see him come back. And this includes Stoll.
“I am down to continue playing M.O.D.O.K.,” Stoll answers. “That would be so much fun.”
Though he does have some uncertainty regarding whether or not a return for his Marvel villain is actually possible:
“Your guess is as good as mine? I have no inside knowledge on that one.”
Of course, the actual existence of MODOK in the MCU wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for the presumed death of Yellowjacket. Marvel Studios made their own creative choices in that regard. As such, it’s possible that they could continue spicing things up and bring back their version of MODOK at a later point. We’ll just have to see what kind of cards they may have up their sleeve. For now, however, at least we know that Corey Stoll is open to returning.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay written by Jeff Loveness. The cast for the film includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors.
Fans can currently see Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in theaters. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we have them.
