Fans have become increasingly anxious for the hugely-successful Five Nights at Freddy’s games to be adapted for the big screen. Especially as video game adaptations continue to find success at the box office. Now the official trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s promises yet another winning venture from Blumhouse.
The footage shows that the new adaptation will be incredibly faithful to the source material. This is evident in the numerous animatronics created for the film. Fans will catch quite a few memorable faces on these robots, including the iconic Freddy Fazbear, and all of which were built by the Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. It’s certainly enough to hype up any fan that was no doubt already excited to see these characters in live-action.

Josh Hutcherson certainly fits the bill as a night security guard who discovers the terrifying secrets behind the animatronics. Hopefully we’ll have more glimpses from the film in the coming months. For now, though, it looks like Five Nights at Freddy’s fans are in good hands if this trailer is any indication.
Emma Tammi directed Five Night’s at Freddy’s. The screenplay for the film was written by video game creator Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback. Blumhouse will produce the film in association with Striker Entertainment. Scott Cawthon and Jason Blum are attached as producers while Russell Binder and Marc Mostman will executive produce.
The film stars Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, Elizabeth Lail, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Matthew Lillard.
