    New Jenna Ortega Movie Has Some Fans Feeling Uncomfortable

    It appears that a new Jenna Ortega movie, 'Miller's Girl', is making some fans uncomfortable on social media.

    Jenna Ortega has quickly become a fan-favorite celebrity over the last few years. Her performances in films like X, Scream, Scream VI, and the television series Wednesday have made her quite a notable horror star in particular. Her latest movie, however, has fans of Jenna Ortega uncomfortable for a rather different reason.

    One of her upcoming 2024 projects, next to September’s Beetlejuice 2, will be January’s release of Miller’s Girl. The upcoming comedy drama, written and directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, stars Jenna Ortega as Cairo Sweet.

    Her character, according to the film’s official synopsis, has a very peculiar dynamic with her teacher, Jonathan Miller, played by Martin Freeman. Here’s the brief synopsis which is the partial reason that social media users are feeling uncomfortable:

    “A creative writing assignment yields complex results between a teacher and his talented student.”

    As mentioned, however, the synopsis is only partially the reason that fans are upset. As you can see below, a first look at the film has been released, featuring both Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman sitting rather close to one another.

    A caption was included with the image which featured another synopsis, one that also has fans talking:

    “The film follows a complex connection a failed writer & his student where they eventually realize they’ve blurred lines beyond the academic.”

    The trailer was released earlier today and shed more light on the film’s plot:

    Many social media users have interpreted that the film will have a romantic storyline between the two characters as a result. Naturally this has many fans feeling that Jenna Ortega is way too young for the role, especially for someone as old as Martin Freeman starring alongside her.
