The upcoming Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again was recently retooled to better fit in with both the original Netflix series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As such, production is still ongoing for the show, and one report claims Daredevil: Born Again is allegedly casting four transgender roles.
Many familiar faces are set to return for the upcoming Disney Plus series. This includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. As shared via insider Daniel Richtman, however, some of the fresh faces in Daredevil: Born Again could include some transgender characters for at least one episode.
This would certainly be a change of pace for the Disney Plus series. Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe has gradually developed into a more diverse shared universe of film and television shows, the previous iteration of Daredevil did not include any transgender cast members or characters. As such, incorporating four such characters is a large step forward.
As noted below, via Cosmic Marvel on X, Richtman claims that “Marvel Studios is reportedly casting for 4 transgender talents to have a big role in one of the episodes of ‘DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN‘.”

It’s currently unknown why transgender characters could be included in Daredevil: Born Again. However, given the titular character’s status as a lawyer, they could be clients involved with one of Murdock’s cases. Of course, we may just have to wait and see to learn why four transgender roles are required for this particular episode.
