Netflix viewers often share their thoughts on social media regarding their latest watches. Now it looks like some Netflix viewers are warning each other over a new series that’s said to be quite disturbing.

This new sci-fi series actually involves David Benioff & D. B. Weiss of Game of Thrones fame. As such, fans are drawing comparisons to the hit fantasy series, and that includes the nasty deaths featured within. It seems some of these violent and surprising death scenes have carried over into Netflix’s new show.

This was especially evident in the fifth episode of the series, which features a ship full of passengers – including children – that are ultimately killed. It’s a horrific sequence and one that’s being compared to the “Red Wedding” sequence from Game of Thrones.

This sci-fi series, titled 3 Body Problem, features a ship called “Judgment Day.” This is also the name of the show’s fifth episode, and where the surprising deaths take place. Characters, along with the ship itself, are rather gruesomely sliced in half.

Here are some of the tweets shared by viewers of the episode on X, and how they warn others of the disturbing content featured in the “Judgment Day” episode of 3 Body Problem:

3 Body Problem on Netflix was a fun and disturbing watch. I might have to jump into the books to know how this all ends.

If you’ve watched the first episode of 3 BODY PROBLEM and found that opening sequence disturbing, never forget – the same thing happens on this app every single day.#3BodyProblem #mao

The brutality of Judgement Day in 3 Body Problem rivals that of the Red Wedding.

Omg. I can’t remember reading this in the books but it’s been so long ago and and omg

Holy hell the Panama Canal scene in 3 Body Problem was horrific. Worse than the Red Wedding.

    Yikes and also Gross!

Watching the 3 body problem is disturbing af

I have an absolute dissertation of problems with Netflix’s 3 Body Problem but the Judgement Day scene is one of the best things I’ve seen on telly in a while.

The Episode 5 Panama Canal scene is the most incredible (and horrifying) sequence in cinematic history. Hands down.

From the moment Auggie says “It is.”

No one will ever be able to unsee it.

U hating on Auggie but her panama canal scene was brilliantly executed. I can deeply empathise with her… (being outwitted by Thomas Wade)… this added emotional weight to the scene not just the shocking massacre…

Of course, despite the gruesome nature of the content, it’s a rather impressive production and one that features plenty of admirable practical effects in addition to the display of CGI utilized. It’s quite likely that fans will still be drawn to the Netflix series in spite of the warnings of disturbing content from other viewers.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on 3 Body Problem and any other Netflix programs as we have them. For now, it looks like Netflix along with David Benioff & D. B. Weiss are hoping to use shock value to build an audience similar to the way they did with Game of Thrones. Of course, we’ll have to see if 3 Body Problem has the same type of appeal that helped HBO’s fantasy series last so long.
