The Marvel Cinematic Universe is headed towards an all-new event crossover movie – Avengers: Secret Wars. The upcoming film is expected to be the culmination of everything we’ve seen so far during the Multiverse Saga. As such, fans have plenty of MCU characters in mind they hope to see return for Secret Wars.
According to one Marvel star that many expected to likewise return, however, he outright denies any reports that he will be returning to the MCU in Avengers: Secret Wars. It certainly seemed like a possibility given that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness already teased his existence as a number of different variants.
This was shared by the actor below via his own account on X. He shared his denial specifically in response to a report shared on the platform, and it seems to be enough to shut down any other such rumors from surfacing.
“This is so interesting,” writes Anson Mount, the actor known for playing Black Bolt in the television series Inhumans and the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. “Please tell us more about this contract I apparently signed in my sleep. I’m so curious to hear all the juicy details from a feed that is clearly not a click-farm.”
The report he wrote in response to stated that “The Inhumans from the Inhumans series will return in ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS,'” something that’s been otherwise unconfirmed. With the response shared by Mount, however, it seems to be clearly debunked at this point in time.

Of course, this doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of Anson Mount or the Inhumans. But it does mean that any rumors about appearances in Avengers: Secret Wars (or any other unconfirmed projects) should be taken with a serious grain of salt. And regarding the former, Mount seems to have already debunked that possibility. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates as we have them.
