We’re reaching the end of 2024. This means that announcements for 2025’s film and television slate are being made. One of these exciting announcements has just confirmed that a beloved HBO series will be making a return.
The television landscape can often by tricky and unpredictable. Once a series isn’t immediately renewed, it can sometimes be difficult for things to get going again. After all, you need to make sure that cast members are available and that other logistics fall into place so that things can run as smoothly as possible.
Now, according to JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming for Warner Bros. Discovery, he’s revealed that’s the case with one rather important series at the Wells Fargo TMT Summit. As reiterated by Deadline:
Perrette has “confirmed that the series [Euphoria] starring Zendaya is targeting a 2026 return.”
It’s exciting that Warner Bros. Discovery still plans to bring back Euphoria for another season. Unfortunately, it won’t be part of the studio’s 2025 slate, but at least they were able to confirm it’s in the works. The plan is to shoot Euphoria Season 3 in 2025 so that it can be released in 2026.
While there aren’t many plot details for the show’s third season currently available, it’s been said that Euphoria Season 3 will include a time jump following the events of the second season. In addition to Zendaya, it’s also expected that Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Colman Domingo will all return to reprise their roles for the return of the series to HBO.
