Sadie Sink is one of the latest stars to be attached to a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, with the announcement that the Stranger Things star would be joining the MCU, it still remains unclear what role Sadie Sink will be playing. Now the role has been reportedly revealed, suggesting that Sadie Sink is playing a rather unexpected part in Spider-Man 4.
Many details regarding the fourth Spider-Man film are currently being kept under wraps. However, given the trajectory of Spider-Man: No Way Home and where the MCU is currently headed, the Multiverse seems like a safe bet.
As such, the latest report suggests that Sadie Sink could be playing a variant of a major Spider-Man character.
Here’s what was shared via The Hot Mic by insider Jeff Sneider:
“It sounds like she is going to be Mary Jane.”
He continued to point out that Zendaya, who does play a character named MJ, is Michelle Jones-Watson. This would leave room for Sadie Sink to reportedly play Mary Jane Watson, the version of “MJ” that fans are familiar with from comics and other Spider-Man adaptations.
If this is the case, then it remains to be seen how exactly a new version of MJ will fit into the film. While the Multiverse seems to be a likely explanation, that remains to be confirmed at this time. Ultimately we’ll have to see how Sadie Sink fits into the film.
After the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, however, and the likelihood of Avengers: Doomsday playing a role in the plot of Spider-Man 4 – it seems safe to say anything is possible. In any case, fans are no doubt eager to see Sadie Sink appear with a role in a MCU Spider-Man film.
