The next Marvel Cinematic Universe series coming to Disney Plus will be Ironheart. Fans have been hearing about the show for some time. Now, as you can see below, the first official trailer for Ironheart has been released below.
The Disney Plus series will revolve around the titular character, Ironheart, otherwise known as Riri Williams. She’s a popular character in the comics and previously appeared in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as portrayed by Dominique Thorne.
Now Thorne will have the opportunity to portray Ironheart within her own project. Some fans were previously skeptical about a spiritual successor to the Iron Man series, but with Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU for Avengers: Doomsday (albeit as Doctor Doom), it certainly adds a more interesting layer to the franchise.

It’s certainly a departure from the classic Iron Man films even if it operates as a spiritual successor of sorts. However, for fans hoping to see more of Riri Williams following her adventures in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it looks like Ironheart will be a proper continuation of her story from that film. Additionally, there are no doubt plenty of other surprises being kept hidden for the series beyond this first trailer.
In addition to Thorne, the Disney Plus series Ironheart also stars Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anj White.
Fans will be able to see the new MCU Disney Plus series Ironheart when it hits Disney’s streaming platform on June 24, 2025.
