Fans have been eagerly awaiting to see James Gunn’s Superman hit theaters. The new film is not only set to introduce a new version of the titular character, but it will also act as a launchpad for the all-new DC Universe. Now, fans can get their clearest look at the film yet, with the all-new full trailer for Superman shared below.
The footage finds actor David Corenswet in the role of Superman, also known as Clark Kent, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Actor Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luthor in the film. Other cast members include Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.

As many fans have suspected, the film helmed by James Gunn will be quite different than other recent depictions of the character from filmmaker Zack Snyder. However, Gunn appears to be taking the character back to its roots, with additional inclusions of other elements from different comics and animated projects to make this one of the most complete depictions of Superman yet.
With several other superheroes being introduced, all of which will help flesh out this new DC Universe, it looks like it’ll be an exciting time at the theater. A number of other such projects are currently in the works, including Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and a movie all about the Batman villain “Clayface,” so hopefully Superman succeeds in launching this new franchise with a bang.
The new film Superman will be headed to theaters in just a few months on July 11, 2025.
