Hollywood is consistently surprising moviegoers with a variety of different strategies for a landscape that includes both theaters and streaming. This has mostly resulted in shorter theatrical windows and premium VOD windows, in which movies can be rented or even purchased digitally for a higher cost in exchange for the lesser wait. With that in mind, one of 2025’s biggest movies is now streaming on VOD platforms for both rental and purchase.

While this strategy is often blamed for resulting in box office losses, it’s worth noting that the movie has already performed quite well in theaters. The title which is now streaming has turned into one of the highest-grossing movies of the year, having so far made $768 million globally on a budget ranging between $180 and 225 million. It’s evidence that the blockbuster franchise it’s part of still has an audience.

As such, fans may be interested in viewing the film again from the comfort of their own home – or for the first time if they chose to wait out the theatrical run. Either way, the movie is now available, albeit with fees that range from $19.99 for a rental or $29.99 for ownership. But for those who skipped the theatrical run, it’s at least not that different of a cost in that regard.

This film is none other than Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh installment in the Jurassic Park franchise and the fourth to use the Jurassic World moniker. It’s something of a reboot for the series with fresh characters and storylines taking fans into new directions. After the run of the first Jurassic World trilogy, this seems to be a nice change of pace for fans that simply want a return to tropical islands and dinosaur horror.

It’s worth mentioning that there is some exclusivity with this VOD deal, however, and that Jurassic World Rebirth has yet to land on Peacock where the other franchise films are currently streaming for subscribers. While it will no doubt eventually make it’s way there, it means fans will have to pony up the cash if they want to stream the film from home in the meantime.

The other alternative is the film’s physical home video release, which will include DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD formats on September 9. With only a month before the title is physically released, it might even be worth to simply wait before seeing the film at home, especially for collectors that prefer the opportunity to truly own their movies in the best quality.

Ultimately, there are plenty of ways to view Jurassic World Rebirth both in the present and future, and that’s perfect for fans who want to see this franchise continue. The streaming platforms currently offering the film for rental or purchase include Fandango at Home, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the beloved film franchise as we have them – because with box office earnings like what’s mentioned above, it’s unlikely that Jurassic World Rebirth is the final installment for this long-running IP.
