A show that definitely didn’t have great reviews from fans or critics (especially when you compare the other Marvel Netflix shows) was Marvel’s Iron Fist. Many weren’t sure if there was even going to be a second season. Luke Cage actor Mike Colter had the following to say about it: “I hope so. I really hope so. I think moving forward to Season 2, we’ll see something like that … Personally, I really hope we get the wispy kind of ripples that come out at the back of the mask. I think that’s a super cool effect. I think it’d…

For years now, we’ve received updates about the Spawn movie that Todd McFarlane plans on making. It’s gotten to the point where there’s almost no point in even talking about it, until we’re sitting in the movie theater about to watch. Just a couple weeks back, McFarlane said the film wouldn’t happen unless he had total creative control: “So I’m going, I’m not selling it but if you want to see the rough draft, I’ll send it to you. But just so everybody knows, I write, produce, direct, non-negotiable.” He added: “I wouldn’t ask to be a newbie director on…
It’s already been known for some time now that ‘Gotham City Sirens’ will essentially be a Harley Quinn movie, but now it appears that Warner Bros. want more of Margot Robbie’s character. According to a new report from Screen Rant, a Harley Quinn vs. Joker spin-off movie is in development: Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment are developing a live-action film pitting Harley Quinn against The Joker, Screen Rant has learned. This project is set within the DCEU and is addition to the Suicide Squad sequel (Jaume Collet-Serra is reportedly in the running to direct) and the in-development Gotham City Sirens which sees Margot Robbie’s Quinn in another…
While all has seemed to be well within The DCEU for 2017, a new report states that Ben Affleck’s future could be in doubt as Batman. The Hollywood Reporter claims a source has given them the following information: A source with knowledge of the situation says that the studio is working on plans to usher out Affleck’s Batman — gracefully, addressing the change in some shape or form in one of the upcoming DC films. Exactly when and how that might happen has yet to be determined, but it would be wise to bet against Affleck starring in The Batman. Already…
In what continues to be an awful year for rock fans, Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park, has killed himself. The news comes from TMZ who reported the following: Law enforcement sources tell us the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. His body was discovered Thursday just before 9 AM. Chester was married with 6 children from 2 wives. The singer struggled with drugs and alcohol for years. He had said in the past he had considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male.…
In some very terrifying news, actress/writer Lena Dunham has been cast for the upcoming Season 7 of American Horror Story. The announcement comes via Twitter: https://twitter.com/MrRPMurphy/status/887844862426468352 No word on who the actress will be playing in the upcoming series, but if she was cast as herself, that would definitely make for the most terrifying season yet. Not much is known about the season yet, but in a recent report from Bloody-Disgusting, Steve Piacenza, had the following to say (who initially thought the photos were from the upcoming Halloween reboot): “Was there watching for a couple nights,” Piacenza told me today.…
Netflix Korea has released an amazing new trailer for The Defenders, narrated by Stan Lee and featuring the return of The Punisher! Check it out below: 완벽할 필요는 없다. 마블의 아버지 스탠 리가 말하는 영웅의 조건#넷플릭스 #넷플릭스오리지널 #마블 #디펜더스#8월공개 #영웅의조건 pic.twitter.com/HLk9l8a2e9 — Netflix Korea (@NetflixKR) July 20, 2017 Hopefully, this isn’t the last we’ll see of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, as many are hoping to get a trailer for the character’s solo series at some point during this San Diego Comic Con weekend. The Defenders stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage…
Say what you want about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as a film, but I think most of us can agree that the film looked great. Aside from those that will complain about the Snyder films being ‘too dark’, the cinematography in BvS was pretty good. Larry Fong, the man behind the look of that film (and many other great looking films), didn’t return for Justice League, but offered up some pretty high praise for the film’s new cinematographer, going as far as saying what he’s seen of the film is ‘amazing’: Dry your eyes! Fabian Wagner is amazingly…
Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently in theaters, and pretty much everyone can agree – it was the best Spider-Man film to date. Not to hate on the Tobey Maguire films, but, they really only offer up nostalgia at this point. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man also unquestionably had the coolest on-screen costume to date – but it could have been a lot different. Concept Artist Ryan Meinerding revealed the following design on his Twitter, and it’s pretty interesting: I did a lot of designs for the new #SpiderManHomecoming suit. Here’s an unused one based on #superiorspiderman by @DanSlott and @RyanStegman pic.twitter.com/jLiXY7XtYG — Ryan…
After District 9, director Neill Blomkamp made a couple of films that were met with a mixed reception. Elysium, which I personally enjoyed, currently boasts a 67% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb. While that is still pretty good, most were expecting more in the director’s follow-up. 2015’s Chappie did fair nearly as well, scoring a 32% on Rotten Tomatoes, but had a higher rating among IMDb users. Obviously, Rotten Tomatoes and fans can have their disagreements, just look at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It turns out, however, that Blomkamp actually still wants…
