20th Century Fox has revealed that they will be targeting an R-rating for Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine film. It would seem that this news is in large part due to the fact that Deadpool was a massive success and was a hard-R comic film. It was revealed in a pamphlet at Toy Fair 2016: It looks like (aside from obvious characters owned by Marvel Studios) that FOX is trying to please the fans by giving them an Old Man Logan story – and a chance to unleash Wolverine as the violent character that has been held back by the PG-13…

After the massive success of the Deadpool movie, it’s no surprised that actors (and others) are now starting to lobby for the role of Cable in the sequel. Stephen Lang recently started to campaign for the role and now it looks like fans want someone else for the role – with a little less acting experience. Kevin Nash. That’s right, the 6’8 former wrestling star has now (sort of) added his name to the mix of actors that are intrigued by the role. Check out the picture: Personally, I think it’d be a good fit. Netflix has dropped a new trailer for Daredevil Season 2, and fans of Marvel’s darker corners are in for a treat. The highlight? The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal, steals the spotlight with gritty lines and a presence that feels like he’s stepped straight off the comic book page. “You know you’re one bad day away from being me…” It’s one of many unforgettable lines Frank Castle throws at Matt Murdock in the trailer, underscoring the central conflict of the season: justice vs. vengeance. The quote echoes themes familiar to Punisher fans and taps into the moral complexity that made…

Deadpool has debuted to an international total of about $260 million dollars – with $125 million from foreign markets and $135 million domestically. It had one of the most successful openings for a comic book movie ever and it is also already the second highest grossing R-rated comic film of all time. Already! Other films opened this weekend such as Zoolander 2 and How To Be Single – but who actually watched those? I guess some did as Zoolander opened to $15.6 million and Single opened to $18.7 million. Deadpool was originally projected to make $70 million for its opening weekend but now is on pace to demolish that number entirely. The film made $12.7 million during the Thursday night “preview showings” and on Friday it made $47.5 million alone – more than half of its weekend projection. That’s a new record for an R-rated film and for February. The film has received a very positive reaction from fans and critics alike and considering that the film was made for about $60 million – there should definitely be no doubts about a sequel. It’s no secret that 2015’s Fantastic Four reboot was both commercially and critically a failure. Zack Snyder recently appeared (well, sort of) on the Opie with Jim Norton radio show to talk about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – but all didn’t go according to plan. While some of the actors that were featured in the movie have hinted at a sequel in the past, The Coen Brothers were asked about a sequel by Variety and here’s what they had to say: “Tara Reid likes to announce that just like [George] Clooney likes to announce Hail, Caesar!,” Joel Coen said in this week’s Variety cover story, referencing how Clooney pushed them to write their latest script by telling the…
