People seem to forget that we did initially report that The Punisher was being developed as a series – but that same report also said that Iron Fist was being developed into a film. While that turned out to be wrong, our source did echo some of the same things that this new report is echoing.
TVLine is reporting that Jon Bernthal’s take on The Punisher is being so well received by executives that a spin off series for the character is being developed.

Netflix is thisclose to pulling the trigger on The Punisher, a new Marvel spinoff series centered on Jon Bernthal’s gun-toting Daredevil vigilante (aka Frank Castle), TVLine has learned exclusively.
