Kevin Conroy Reveals He Likes Ben Affleck’s Batman – But Hates One Thing

    By Frank PalmerSeptember 10, 2017

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was the most talked about film of 2016, and can be found being dissected in a comment section by angry fan boys pretty much anywhere on the internet.

One thing that most fans can agree on, however, is Ben Affleck’s Batman was pretty great.

Kevin Conroy recently revealed to ComicBook that he enjoyed Affleck’s performance:

“I love what Ben Affleck did with the role. I think he actually got the balance of the Bruce Wayne character and the Batman character kind of better than a lot of the live-action have done. I’m a great admirer of him as an actor.”Affleck did with the role,” Conroy said. “I think he actually got the balance of the Bruce Wayne character and the Batman character kind of better than a lot of the live-action have done. I’m a great admirer of him as an actor.”

He added that he did not like the killing, however:

“I hated the fact that there was there was so much death in that movie,” he says. “I just think that it’s important that Batman doesn’t kill. That’s a line that we never crossed, and I love that about him. It was like he was too noble to kill. Killing was too cheap. It was something the villains did, you know? I love that about the character, so I have a real problem.”

It’s similar to comments he made back in August of last year:

“In the most recent live action movie, that seems to have been a line that was crossed and it’s not one I’m particularly comfortable with.”

So it’s clear – Kevin Conroy does not like Batman killing.
