Fans of Halloween haven’t been the only ones waiting since the trailer was announced for tomorrow – it looks like Michael Myers and Laurie Strode have been waiting too, although for way different reasons. After forty years of silence – the Shape is about to return for another killing spree in this year’s Halloween movie.
While we still haven’t gotten the trailer (that comes tomorrow), two new videos have hit the internet boasting the first bits of footage from the film. The first video is 10-seconds with all sorts of crazy stuff going on. Laurie is shooting her gun, Michael is killing a victim (and in one scene supposedly wearing a bedsheet like in the 1978 original), and the two even have a little showdown near the end.
The next video focuses more on Laurie and her target practice, which shows how dead set she’s become on facing Michael Myers again. In fact, it looks like Michael might want to be afraid of her – Laurie’s aim is pretty spot on.
The film’s new synopsis reveals:
A British documentary crew comes to the States to visit Michael in prison for a retrospective of the maniac’s night of terror — but their project becomes way more interesting when Myers escapes custody, retrieves his signature mask and seeks revenge on Laurie, with others naturally being part of his impressive career body count along the way.
In the decades following the fateful Halloween night that forever altered the former babysitter’s life, Laurie has armed and prepped herself for Michael’s inevitable return — to the detriment of her family, including daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak).
Halloween will hit theaters on October 19, 2018.
