It’s been an interesting time for fans of AMC’s long running television series The Walking Dead. The series is continuing on with yet another season, a spin off series titled Fear the Walking Dead, plans for several movies focusing on Rick Grimes, and yet another spin off series which was recently announced. The new spin off series in particular has finally been given a title – The Walking Dead: World Beyond – and you can view a new teaser for it down below.
According to Greg Nicotero, who spoke about the new series on his Instagram account, he revealed his association as a consulting producer. As he stated:
“I’m a consulting producer (lots of juggling this year).”
While we don’t know too much about the upcoming series The Walking Dead: World Beyond, we do know the first episode’s title thanks to Greg Nicotero. According to him, the first episode will be titled “Brave.”
And in the new teaser, you can see that the series will maintain a similar tone with the past entries – albeit with a much more dark style than we’re used to. It certainly makes sense considering how much further into the future this show will take place.
In The Walking Dead: World Beyond…
“The series, set ten years after the apocalypse, will feature two young female protagonists and focus on ‘the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.‘”
It seems as though this series could be the breath of fresh air that The Walking Dead needs to appeal to mainstream audiences again. Hopefully we find out if that will be the case as we approach the release date.

The series is set to premiere sometime in Spring 2020.
